Preparing for VOBIS Gold 2018

For your consideration, PT Thoroughbreds presents our Kuroshio x Someday Somehow filly - Lot 190 in the Inglis VOBIS Gold Sale.

The Dam was a winner in the city at 2, trained by Gai Waterhouse who described her as a pocket-rocket. Unprompted, Inglis described this filly in excatly the same term. Come and have a look.

Viewing commences 19th April ahead of Sale Day on 22nd April.

Very pleased to have recorded the 3rd highest price for a Kuroshio yearling this year with some spirited bidding including from Ciaron Maher resulting in Darren Weir & John Foote winning the competition. We were quick to congratulate Darren and to lock in retention of 10% for ourselves!

Thanks again to Ryan Arnell and his team at Stonehouse Thoroughbreds for the great job in preparing Titan for the sale

PT Thoroughbreds: Select Matings = Quality Horses

Lightly (Fantastic Light x Treason)

At PT Thoroughbreds, our breeding focus is not only upon quality matings but also on the care and handling of both mares and foals and this is reflected in the tractability of the foals and their excellect nature  and condition.

PT Thoroughbreds has been actively upgrading its thoroughbred mares portfolio over the last couple of seasons, sadly letting some farm favourites go but picking up some exciting and well bred replacements upon which we believe we can build  some champion lines!

Finally, PTThoroughbreds, welcomes you to come racing with us:

Is Don Is Good by Don Eduardo x Someday Somehow (Statue of Liberty), is available to purchase shares. Contact Annabel Neasham (Owner Communication & Sales Executive at Ciaron Maher Racing): 0416 403 148.

If you would like to become involved in race horse ownership, but have always thought it was too expensive - then look at our Training lease page. Participating in the thrill of racehorse ownership with PT Thoroughbreds managing the Lease is affordable.

In addition to breeding racehorses, PT Thoroughbreds also breeds Irish Draught /Sport horses. The matriarch, Bally Bridget (SID) - the highest rated supplementary Irish Draught mare in Australia, has already provided us with 4 fillies and 2 colts over the last 7 seasons.

Justine, with many (many) years of experience riding (both recreationally and trackwork), hunting locally and internationally, horse husbandry, racehorse ownership and, more recently, breeding is the driving force of the venture.

Renowned as having an 'eye for a horse' and an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of racehorses and their bloodlines, Justine identifies intelligent mating options for the breeding barn and has made several astute selections at the Inglis sales.
