Bally Bridget (1993) SID Registration No.K19/92(Aus)

Bally Bridget (1993) * Registration No. K19/92

Bred by Justine's brother, Tom Phelan, Bally Bridget ('Bridget') has outstanding confirmation, with the perfect proportion for an Irish Draught. She is an active, short-shinned, powerful horse with substance and quality. 'Bridget' is proud of bearing, and displays a deep girth and strong back and quarters. Standing over a lot of ground, she has an exceptionally strong and sound constitution - whatsmore, she is an intelligent mare, possessing a beautiful gentle nature and a kind eye.

Supplementary Irish Draught (SID) K19/92 (AUS)

The versatility of the Irish Draught breed is evident in the variety of work 'Bridget' has performed. 'Bridget' has hunted with the Melbourne hounds and has been ridden for dressage, showjumping, and cross country - even making light work of mustering cattle on the Dargo High Plains with the Traill family.

Her athleticism has been complemented in her being crossed with the well-bred warmblood stallion Jingara Showman (himself a son of Heath Ryan’s champion showjumping stallion Abduell) to produce two beautiful fillies, Sinead (2010) and Siobhan (2011) and a stunning colt Seamus (2013).  'Bridget' is again in foal to Jingara Showman, scanned at 15 days on 11/11/2013.  She will be due to foal in September 2014.
