Racing
At PT Thoroughbreds, it gives us great pleasure watching our racehorses run. More satisfying, is a financial return when the commitment to paying training costs is rewarded by a win.
Ideally, a racehorse in training should be able to pay for itself and in that regard, we have been very careful to place our horses in the stables of racehorse Trainers whom we believe are equine professionals including the likes of Maher & Eustace, the Snowdens, Gelagotis Racing and Lee Hope
Whilst in the business of breeding to sell, from time to time, we will retain a yearling that is well bred, well related and of a type yet deemed insufficiently commercial by the sale houses.
Such was the case with Is Don Is Good, sent to Maher & Eustace and subsequently Peter Gelagotis to be given every chance to shine rather than be given away in an online sale. 'Don' was out of a talented Staue of Liberty mare (Someday Somehow trained by Gai Waterhouse) and a half to a promising Dreamscape filly (Dreamnomore) with Rod Northam. Don repaid our faith in saluting 5 times, thrice in his first 5 starts, and placing twice more.
Luna Diva, currently in the Snowden yard, has already recorded 2 wins and 2 places as an early 3YO. Out of an excellent producing Woodman mare (Clever Clogs) she has 7 sibling winners (of 9 to race) amassing 35 wins including 2 in Macau winning and placing in stakes races. We had no hesitation in investing in her racing career.
When the occassion arises, we invite others to buy into the foal and join us in the journey. You too could be part of the fun with one possible prospect on the horizon
